FAQ

Questions, answered

Will my QR code expire?

No. These are static QR codes: what you type is stored inside the code itself, so it works for as long as the printed code exists. There is no redirect server in between that could stop working.

Is my data safe?

Your QR code is made entirely in your browser. Nothing you type, and no logo you upload, is sent to our server. Recent codes and your last design are saved only in your own browser, and you can delete them at any time.

Can I change the link after printing?

A static QR code can't be edited after printing, because the content is inside the code. If you might need to change the destination later, point the code at a page you control (for example your website) and update that page instead.

Why does my QR code not scan?

The most common causes are low contrast, light dots on a dark background, a logo that is too large, or a code printed too small. Watch the scan status under the preview. If it warns you, raise error correction to High, make the logo smaller, or use darker dots. Print codes at least 2 × 2 cm (about 0.8 inch).

Which file format should I download?

Use PNG for websites, documents and social media. For print and design tools, SVG or PDF (with Pro) stay sharp at any size. JPG and WEBP make smaller files.

Can I use these QR codes commercially?

Yes. The codes you create are yours to use on packaging, menus, posters, business cards and anywhere else.

Can I make many QR codes at once?

Yes, with zQR Pro. Use Bulk QR codes to turn a list or a CSV file into a ZIP of styled QR codes, using your current design.
